The author writes that "he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to tell the life story" of Rahman. Thus, the author is no objective researcher but a fanboy who also happens to be the son of Rahman's close friends. Hence,the biography becomes a fawning hagiography finding no faults with it's subject. The Man is his Music and one is always stunned as to how this shy,saint-like man is able to whip up frenzy through his restless creativity. Die-hard fans would love the nostalgic ride this book gives but for others, the wait for a more nuanced and deep biography of Ra...
